Disney Inspired DIY Ornaments are a fun and easy craft that is not only kid-friendly but magical! There is no better way to showcase your love for Disney then with these ornaments!
There is just something about this time of year that is so magical! That is also why Disney and the holidays go together! There is just something about the holidays and pixie dust!
One of my favorite things about these ornaments is that you can make them as unique as you’d like! If you have a little Minnie Mouse fan, she can really customize her ornaments and make them either pink or red. The possibilities are endless!
I have created some Disney Inspired DIY Ornaments that you can make in no time with your kids! My family loved creating these ornaments and I hope you will as well with your family!
Before you get started, here are some answers to questions you may have:
DO YOU HAVE TO USE GLASS ORNAMENTS?
No, you can definitely use plastic ones.
CAN I MAKE OTHER DISNEY CHARACTERS USING THE SUPPLIES YOU LISTED FOR THESE?
Absolutely! Let your Disney imagination flow!
COULD YOU USE REGULAR CRAFT GLUE INSTEAD OF A HOT GLUE GUN TO MAKE THESE DISNEY INSPIRED DIY ORNAMENTS?
Yes, you could. However, I don’t think that glue would have the sticking power that you get when you use a hot glue gun. However, you could definitely try it to see if it works.
HOW TO MAKE DISNEY INSPIRED DIY ORNAMENTS:
Glass ornaments – any color
Rhinestones in various sizes and colors
Acrylic white paint
Black paint marker
Red ribbon to hang the ornaments with
Hot glue gun
Old pencil with new eraser
For our ornaments, we made ornaments that were inspired by Mickey, Minnie, Belle, and just Christmas and Disney. For each ornament, remove the top of the ornament while decorating them. Then when you are finished, you can put the top/hanger back on them.
Mickey Inspired Ornaments
To make these, we used the red glass ornaments.
Use a black paint marker to paint the top half of the ornament. Glue two buttons on like Mickey has on his pants.
Minnie Inspired Ornaments
To make these, we also used the red glass ornaments.
Take the pencil and dip the eraser into the white paint. Then dot the eraser covered in paint all over the ornament.
Belle Inspired Ornaments
To make these, use the gold glass ornaments. Just place the red rhinestones all over the ornament.
Disney Christmas Inspired Ornaments
To make these, use the green glass ornaments.
Use a large rhinestone and place it on the ornament. Use two smaller ones, one on each side of the large rhinestone. Then you have Mickey on the ornament!
These are super fun and easy to make! Have you made ornaments before? Which type are your favorite? Make sure to pin this now so you will have it for later!
