MEANINGFUL BEAUTY
Typically I lather up as best as I can with moisturizer and hope for the best. This year, however, I was asked to try out Meaningful Beauty – Cindy Crawford’s new skin care system. I shared my first impressions a month ago and I’ve been following the Meaningful Beauty regimen since then. Now the results are in. What did I love and what was so-so? Read on to find out.
About Meaningful Beauty: Meaningful Beauty is a multi-step skin care system available online. You can select from different packages depending on your skin’s needs. With Meaningful Beauty skincare, Cindy Crawford shares her personal methods of protecting and renewing skin to help others have the skin they always wanted. Meaningful Beauty aims to make skin appear radiant and youthful with ingredients designed to moisturize, protect, hydrate and rejuvenate.
My set included: Skin Softening Cleanser, Skin Brightening Décolleté and Neck Treatment SPF 15, Antioxidant Day Crème, Glowing Serum, Crème De Serum, Lifting Eye Crème, and Wrinkle Smoothing Capsules. It also came with a bonus Skin Polishing Brush and replacement brush heads.
Each treatment is different in consistency (as shown in the image above). Some, like the Glowing Serum and Crème De Serum, are more light and velvety – while others are thicker, such as the Day Crème and Neck Treatment. The one thing they do all have in common is that none of them have an overpowering scent. It’s an important note for anyone who is sensitive to perfumes. I will say that the SPF 20 Day Crème has the strongest aroma due to the sun block it contains.
In my first impressions article, I mentioned that this system had a lot of steps. That hasn’t changed, it’s a fact. But, I realized something: it took years to develop the wrinkles and dryness, and it’s going to take more than a quick wash and slapping on some lotion to heal it. My skin deserves extra attention and, if I really want to regain that youthful radiance, I need to give my skin some intense TLC – every day.
Meaningful Beauty hydrated, tightened and breathed new life into my skin. It gave me a healthier texture and relieved annoying symptoms like dry, flaky skin and dull overall appearance.
My Meaningful Beauty Favorites
Overall, I think the system did a nice job when it comes to targeting and treating the different trouble areas of my face. My skin appears tighter and firmer now, as well as less flaking from dryness. And, while I will continue to use the entire system to get the full benefits, there were definitely a few items that I found had the most impact on my skin.
Crème de Sérum – This treatment takes a triple approach to combating the signs of aging with three powerful anti-aging ingredients: super antioxidant melon complex, anti-aging peptides and hyaluronic acid.
This serum is packed with nutrients that increase hydration and, as a result, reduce fine lines. This was my favorite item in the Meaningful Beauty kit because I could feel my skin say “ahhhh” every time I put it on.
It was not only refreshing at the moment, but also lasted through the day – keeping my skin feeling soft. Goodbye dryness!
Skin Softening Cleanser – I have to admit, I didn’t like this cleanser at first. Why? It doesn’t lather. At all.
I’m used to the idea that something needs to foam up to actually clean. Our shampoo, bath wash, and other facial cleansers all bring on the bubbles.
However, the more I used it (with the Skin Polishing Brush for mild exfoliation) the more I loved it. It really did clean without drying, leaving my skin much softer than with other cleansers.
The Meaningful Beauty Skin Care System is unlike others I’ve tried before. It’s clean scent, effective and quick acting hydration along with an easy to follow regimen makes it a great way to regain your skin’s younger glow without the fuss and muss of more elaborate, expensive kits.
