This decadent dessert is so simple that once you make it, your family will be begging you to make it again and again! If you are looking for something unique to serve up for the 4th of July, this simple dessert will definitely be a show-stopper!
Preheat the oven to the recommended time on the package of cookie dough. If make your own chocolate chip cookie dough using your favorite recipe, follow the recommended time.
Put the mini cast iron skillets into the oven and let and let them heat up while the oven is warming up.
Once the oven is ready to go, pull out the cast iron skillets and place on top of the stove.
Place a cube of dough into each skillet that you are using and place them back into the oven and set the timer accordingly.
Half way through the baking time, if you prefer a flatter cookie, you can pull the skillets from the oven and press them down with a spoon, then place them back into the oven to finish cooking.
Once the cookies are one, remove the skillets from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
Place the skillets on a serving plate as they will still be warm. Top each cookie with a scoop of your favorite ice cream, I highly suggest using Velvet Ice Cream, your favorite syrups, whipped topping, your favorite sprinkles and a cherry!
