Equipment

  • Piping bag
  • Ateco tip # 869

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs boiled, peeled, and sliced
  • Kraft Sandwich Spread
  • Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue Food Coloring
  • Paprika optional
  • 4 tbsp. White vinegar

Instructions

  • Add the eggs into a saucepan and add just enough water to cover the eggs
  • Add a splash of vinegar into the water
  • Bring the eggs to a boil. Once they are boiling, remove them from the heat, cover, and let them set for 12 minutes.
  • As soon as the eggs are done, remove them from the water and place them in a large bowl full of ice cubes and cold water.
  • Let them set in the water for 10 - 15 minutes.
  • As soon as they are cool, peel them and place them on a paper towel.
  • Wash off any shells from the eggs. Then cut them in half. Remove the yolks and add them into a medium sized bowl.
  • Once you are done peeling the eggs, Mash up the yolks with a fork and add in one tablespoon at a time of the sandwich spread until you get the taste you are looking for. Or if you have a favorite recipe for deviled eggs, make that now.
  • In four medium size bowls, with higher sides, add in a cup of water, 1 tablespoon of the vinegar and enough drops of the food coloring to get the desired color you are looking for.
  • Add the eggs in one at a time and let them set in the colored water until they reach the color you want. Then with using a slotted spoon, remove the egg from the water and let them dry on paper towels. Repeat the same process for all of the eggs.
  • Once the eggs are done, prepare the piping bag with the tip. Place the tip into the piping bag and trim off just enough of the bottom of the page to where the edge of the bag is in the middle of the tip. Place the prepared piping bag into a large glass and fold the sides over. Then place the egg yolk mixture into the piping bag.
  • Pipe the egg yolk mixture into each egg. Sprinkle with paprika if you choose. Enjoy!
