Spring Cupcakes

Spring cupcakes are fun, bright, colorful, moist and so easy to make. These Daisy cupcakes are full of sprinkles and the petals are made with candy melts. One of the great things about these cute cupcakes are that they are also kid-friendly and are an easy way to get the kids involved in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • Box of favorite cake mix
  • Ingredients needed for cake mix
  • 1 container Yellow Buttercream frosting
  • Sprinkles
  • Pink Candy Melts You will need five per cupcake

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven according to the directions on the back of the box of cake mix
  • Prepare the cupcakes according to the directions on the cake mix
  • Line the muffin tin with paper liners, silicone liners, or spray the muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • Bake the cupcakes until they are done. Use a toothpick to test to make sure it comes out clear.
  • Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool for 10 minutes. Then remove the cupcakes from the tin and place them on a cooling rack.
  • Once the cupcakes are cool, place a dollop of buttercream frosting in the middle of each cupcake.
  • Turn the cupcake upside down and place the frosting into a bowl full of sprinkles and roll the cupcake around until the frosting is covered in sprinkles.
  • Lightly pat down the frosting and place a candy wafer upside down into the frosting and repeat the process around the cupcake until the wafers are around the cupcake.
