Homemade Strawberry Jam with Honey

Ingredients

  • 18 oz. fresh strawberries chopped
  • 4 oz. fresh strawberries whole
  • 7 oz. honey
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  • Wash and clean all strawberries, then cut off the tops and let the berries dry.
  • Cut 18 ozs. of the strawberries into small and even pieces.
  • Place the chopped strawberries into a medium sized saucepan then turn the heat to medium high and bring to a boil.
  • Once it's boiling, add the honey and lemon juice in and then give it a slow stir, turn the heat to down to medium.
  • Use a spoon to skim all the bubbles on top while it is boiling, it will help to make the finished jam clear.
  • After 35 minutes, you will start to notice the mixture getting thicker. Place the 4 oz. of whole strawberries into the mixtures and keep stirring slowly.
  • Once the jam mixture has completely thickened, turn off the heat, let it cool down then transfer the mixture to a bowl, place clear plastic wrap over the top and then place in the fridge to completely cool and set overnight.
  • Once it has cooled completely overnight, transfer it to your jelly jars or to your favorite container and enjoy!
