Can You Use Olive Oil?
Yes, you can. It's a great hydrating oil. You can also use virgin coconut oil or grapeseed oil.

When using olive oil, they should last around 3 months if stored in an air-tight container. However, once you start using them, you'll be using them all the time, so you won't have to worry about them lasting that long.
Does Olive Oil Remove Dead Skin?
Yes, it does. It's a great exfoliator.
How Do You Get Soap Out of a Silicone Mold?
If you've let the soap sit for the time stated in the instructions and it still hasn't hardened enough to release, let it sit for a bit more.
If that doesn't work, try running warm water over the back of the silicone mold and apply gentle pressure to the mold. That may create enough pressure to allow the soap to come loose.
What Type of Sugar is Best?
White granulated sugar is honestly the best.
How Long do Melt and Pour Soaps last?
Since these set up quickly, they don't last as long as other soaps. As long as they are stored in air-tight containers, they should last up to three months.
Is Melt and Pour Soap Real Soap?
It is a ready-made soap base. It has natural ingredients, fatty acids, and glycerin.
It's made through a process called "saponification". This process combines mixing lye and fats together. Once these ingredients are mixed together, they are cured for up to a month before it's ready to be used.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Cut the melt and pour soap base into cubes that are 1" x 1".
Step 2: Melt two of the cubes in a microwave-safe cup.
Step 3: Add in the sugar and the olive oil.
Step 4: Soften things up again by microwaving the ingredients.
Step 5: Add in your mica powder and the essential oils. Then pour the soap into the molds.
Step 6: Let the soap set.
Step 7: Remove the soap and enjoy.
