Expert Tips, Ingredient List and Suggestions for Recipe Success
You will find a complete list of all of the ingredients in the printable recipe card below. However, these are just a few suggestions in case you don't have the actual items in your pantry need to make this recipe.
- All-purpose flour - make sure when measuring flour that you use the spoon and level with a knife method. Do not just scoop with a measuring cup. You will not get an accurate measurement.
- Kosher salt - when using salt in your recipes. Make sure to use kosher salt. Do not use regular table salt. Since kosher salt is more of a coarse salt, it will stick to the food better giving you a better result. Table salt is to be used at the table when you want to add more salt to your actual plate of food.
- Pure vanilla extract - if you can find it, pure vanilla extract is always the best to use.
- Unsweetened cinnamon applesauce - try to use unsweetened. If you only have sweetened, the donuts may turn out a bit sweeter than you'd like.
