Buffalo Chicken Poutine is one of those recipes that contains pure soul food! Potatoes and gooey cheese! Need I say more? It's really the perfect comfort food!

    Buffalo Chicen Poutine

That is why I think it's also the perfect food for the Big Game or any tailgating get together that you are having!

We are big Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steeler fans so when we get the opportunity to watch either on tv, it is a great reason to make yummy comfort foods that can be eaten with a fork or with just your hands!  Another great recipe that you can make on game day that doesn't require forks are these amazing Game Day Hot Brown Turkey Sliders!  If you are looking for a spicy comfort food dip to go along with your tailgating spread, check out our Jalapeño Popper Cheese Dip!

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS POUTINE?

Poutine is basically French fries or other potatoes covered in gravy!

The traditional story, according to the Cottage Life,  is that poutine originated in the 1950s in Warwick, Quebec, at a restaurant called Le Lutin qui rit. Upon being asked to add cheese curds to a customer's fries, owner Fernand Lachance responded, “Ça va faire une mauditepoutine,” or, “That's going to make a dreadful mess.”

CAN I SUBSITUTE POTATOES IN LIEU OF FRENCH FRIES?

Absolutely!  You can make poutine with any type of potatoes.  It's totally up to you!

CAN I MAKE THIS RECIPE FOR BUFFALO CHICKEN POUTINE IN THE OVEN INSTEAD OF AN AIR FRYER?

Of course!  Prepare the fries and chicken in the oven according to the package directions.
