A Holiday Cookie Cake is a simple yet yummy dessert for the holidays! It’s versatile, easy to transport, and a fun holiday recipe that is kid friendly!

Holiday Cookie Cake
Our Holiday Cookie Cake recipe is one of those recipes that is both simple and fun to make. It’s totally versatile as you can use whichever cookie mix that you prefer, you can use vanilla or chocolate frosting if you prefer, you can use peanut M & M’s instead of milk chocolate, different sprinkles, you name it. It’s totally customizable!
One of the favorite things I love to do with my kids is have a set baking day in December. We totally mark that day off on the calendar and spend the holiday day baking Christmas goodies.Â
The only problem is that I have to keep my big kid out of the kitchen while we are baking! Our family baking day is a great way to see the kids learn baking skills and it’s a great way to create lifetime memories for all of us.
That is one of the reasons I love discovering simple dessert and cookie recipes for us to bake that day. Don’t get me wrong, I love finding recipes that are challenging for me, however, when we are all in the kitchen baking, I want the focus to be on having fun not stressing out because something isn’t coming out. Another simple holiday recipe that my kids love is our recipe for Marshmallow Snowmen! They are cute, yummy, and a simple treat to make that the kids can help make!

WHAT TYPE OF PAN DO YOU USE TO BAKE THE COOKIE CAKE?
You can use a 9″ pie pan, a cake pan, or you can use a giant cookie pan like this one.
IF YOU ARE SHORT ON TIME COULD YOU ALSO USE A STORE BOUGHT COOKIE CAKE?
Absolutely!!! You can buy the cookie and decorate as desired. The great thing about the store bought cookie cake is that you will have a container to transport it with!
CAN YOU USE STORE BOUGHT FROSTING?
Yes, you can make your own or you can use store bought. Totally up to you.

We just picked up some baking essentials for the holidays. We love trying different recipes when family comes over. This might be a great addition for this Christmas.
My kids love cookie cakes. They are simple to make and you don’t have to worry about an uneven rise. Plus- the decorations allow it to be easily customized for any occasion
That looks so delicious! I love how you made it Christmassy by adding the red and green m&ms and peppermint candies. I’d love to try this.
