Chocolate Lasagna is an easy no-bake layered dessert.  This light and fluffy dessert has crushed Oreo cookies, cool whip, cream cheese and chocolate pudding! This Chocolate Lasagna recipe is simply divine! This is NOT calorie friendly in any way, however, it's pure chocolate indulgence at its best!

    How to Make Chocolate Lasagna

Chocolate Lasagna, to me, is pure heavenly bliss!  I absolutely adore lasagna and chocolate! A nice plate full of piping hot lasagna, right out of the oven, in all its cheesy and saucy glory is just simply divine! Chocolate even by itself, well let's just say is amazing.  So, this combo together is a must make in my kitchen multiple times a year!

Chocolate Desserts are truly perfect for nationaldaycalendar.com!  Whether it be for Valentine’s Day, Sweetest Day, just because it’s the weekend type of day, whatever reason you think up is a great reason for an easy chocolate dessert!

The great thing about chocolate is that there is such a big variety of simple chocolate desserts you can make!  Whether it be brownies, chocolate cookies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate lasagna, chocolate cream pie, chocolate cake, chocolate covered cookies, white chocolate cookies, there are really several delicious options for the chocolate lover in your family!

Now let’s talk about our Chocolate Lasagna recipe!  This Chocolate recipe is full of Oreos, cream cheese, cool whip, and instant pudding! Unfortunately, the recipe that I am sharing is not calorie friendly, however, you could make ingredient substitutions! You could use a light cool whip, lite cream cheese, skim milk and sugar-free chocolate instant pudding.

This chocolate lasagna recipe is full of divine chocolate flavor, however, it's so simple and easy to make that you will want to make it a lot!

This indulgent Chocolate Lasagna dessert would be great for a family get together, a romantic dinner, or just because.

    Ingredients needed

    • Oreo cookies
    • Unsalted butter
    • Cream cheese
    • White granulated sugar
    • Milk - whole or 2%
    • Pure vanilla extract
    • Cool Whip - lite or regular
    • Chocolate instant pudding

Could You Make This into a Chocolate Pie Instead?

Yes, you could!  Use a pie plate instead!  It would still be a super dreamy dessert!

Can you Substitute Chocolate Graham Crackers in Lieu of the Oreos?

Absolutely!  That would also be divine!

6 tablespoon of Melted Butter Seems Like a Lot to Pour in At Once

Actually no.  Pour the melted butter in slowly.  You may not even need to use all 6 TBSP; you may use less.

Enough chatting about chocolate, are you ready to make this easy no-bake layered Chocolate Lasagna for the Chocolate Lover in your life?

    Step by Step Directions

    Step 1: Crush the oreos.

Step 2: Mix the butter and oreos together.

Step 3: Make the cookie crust.

Step 4: Prepare the cream cheese layer.

Step 5: Prepare the chocolate layer.

    Step 6: Assemble

    Step 7: Cover and chill.

    Step 8: Enjoy.

    Ingredients

    • 26 Oreo cookies
    • 6 tablespoon butter melted
    • 8 oz package cream cheese softened
    • ¼ c granulated sugar
    • 2 tablespoon cold milk
    • 1 t vanilla
    • 12 oz tub cool whip divided
    • 3 9 oz packages chocolate instant pudding
    • 3 c cold milk
    • Chocolate jimmies optional
    • Supplies:
    • Food processor
    • 9 x 9 casserole dish
    • Parchment paper
    • Whisk

    Instructions

    • Using a food processor, crush 26 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
    • Slowly incorporate the melted butter and process again until a dough forms (If the cookie crumbs are still slightly dry, add more butter 1 Tablespoon at a time.)
    • Press the cookie crust into the lined casserole dish.
    • Place the casserole dish in the fridge as you prepare the cream cheese layer.
    • In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, milk, vanilla, and sugar and mix well. Stir in 1 cup of cool whip.
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie crumb layer and return to the fridge.
    • Prepare the chocolate pudding by combining the milk and instant pudding powder. Whisk for 4 minutes until the pudding starts to thicken.
    • Pour the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer and then spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top.
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 -4 hours before serving.
    • Just prior to serving, spring chocolate jimmies or add crushed cookie crumbs as an optional garnish.

    Enjoy!
