Christmas Fudge is full of chocolate, marshmallow fluff, sweetened condensed milk and of course M&M's! This chocolate fudge recipe has everything that is great about the holidays all rolled into one! If you are looking for a fun holiday dessert, this is a recipe to definitely check out!

How to Make Chocolate Christmas Fudge

Christmas wouldn't be the same without noshing on homemade fudge! I think for many it has something to do with the memories of being  young and enjoying all of the holiday desserts that were a part of our holiday celebrations.

I think my favorite thing about making fudge is that it's actually not as hard as people think. This recipe goes together quickly and doesn't involve a lot of steps.

If you are looking for additional recipes for your holiday dessert table, I have a few that your family may enjoy! Like my Christmas Muddy Buddies or my Candied Peanuts recipe. Of course, I can't forget my Christmas Oreo Cookies!

How Do You Package Homemade Food for Gifts?

If you plan on making your fudge a few weeks before the holidays, wrap it in plastic wrap after it cools to ensure it stays fresh.

Can You Use Marshmallows Instead of Marshmallow Fluff for Fudge?

Yes you can. You will get the same effect.

Can You Use Marshmallows Instead of Marshmallow Fluff for Fudge?

Yes you can. You will get the same effect.

Do You Have to Refrigerate Marshmallow Fluff After Opening?

No, you don't need to. However, it won't hurt it if you do.

Expert Tips, Ingredient List and Suggestions for Recipe Success

    • Milk chocolate chips - any brand will work.
    • Marshmallow Fluff - you really need to use this for this recipe to turn out.
    • Unsalted butter - make sure to not use salted.
    • One item that is more a supply must have when baking is brown parchment paper. I actually like using brown parchment paper better than white. To make it white they bleach it. The brown is unbleached.  And you aren't actually suppose to bake with the white.

    Step by Step Directions

To get the full list of instructions as well as recipe ingredients, print off the recipe card below.
I've included images of the in-process steps so you can refer to them if you need them.

Step 1: Line a 9×9" baking pan with brown parchment paper and grease the bottom of the paper so that the fudge releases easier.

Step 2: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the butter, vanilla, and chocolate chips in 30-second increments while stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted.

Step 3: Next, add in the marshmallow fluff and sweetened condensed milk. Stir well.

Step 4: Pour the fudge mixture into the baking pan and top with M&M’s.

Step 5: Place the pan into the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

Step 6: Cut into 1 or 2-inch squares and enjoy!
