    🥘Ingredients

White chocolate discs, M&Ms, and sprinkles.
    • White Chocolate Discs
    • Regular size M&M’s
    • Mini size M&M’s
    • Round Sprinkles (Assorted Colors)

See the recipe card for details.

    🔪Instructions

    Making white chocolate bark

Hint: Feel free to use different colored M & Ms, different candy and sprinkles. It's all about making what your family loves.

    Substitutions

    • You can also use candy wafers or candy coating in lieu of white chocolate discs.
    • You can use regular chocolate, however, you will have to use a little bit of shortening or oil to get it to the texture you will need.

    📖Variations

    • M&Ms - you can use mini candies if you prefer. You could also use different colors of candies to make the mouse face look closer to Mickey and Minnie.

See this unicorn bark recipe on my website if you are looking for different ways to make chocolate bark.

    Equipment

When melting chocolate, you can follow the directions for the microwave that is on the back of the bag, use a double boiler, or use one of this nifty chocolate melting pots from Wilton. I have to say my new favorite way to melt chocolate is with the melting pot. I have burnt so much chocolate melting it other ways.

    Storage

Usually, chocolate bark will last from three to six months, however, it must be tightly wrapped with plastic wrap then sealed in an airtight container and place it in the fridge.  Then before enjoying, unwrap the piece of bark and let it come to room temp.

    💭 Top tips

Do you Need to Temper Chocolate when Making Bark?

After chocolate is heated to 94 degrees, it starts to lose it’s temper.  So for chocolate confections, yes, you will need to temper it.  Also, the chocolate will have a grainy texture if it’s not tempered.
